Tamil Nadu holds 18% of total colleges in overall category.
Out of 100 colleges, 18% of total colleges are in TN, followed by Delhi, Punjab, Karnataka and Kerala, with both government and private universities doing well.

There are 200 top Engineering Institutions 🤯
Since there are lot of colleges competing to excel in engineering education, there are top 200 colleges listed out of which 35 of them belong to Tamil Nadu, followed by 19 in Karnataka and 17 in Maharashtra.

Medical ⚕️
Tamil Nadu still dominates with 16% share here even though it has strongest opposition to NEET exam in the country followed by Delhi, Karnataka and Odisha. There are 50 colleges which made up to the ranks.

Fun Fact: Among IIMs, this year it has become ABCD as IIM Delhi jumps to 4th position. Out of 100 colleges UP tops followed by TN, Maharashtra and others.

Arts and Science Colleges 🧑🏻🎨
Arts and Science colleges are categorised as “College” by NIRF. Delhi and TN have equal counts of 32 each out of 100 colleges in the rank comprising 62% of total share together!

Research Institutions 🧪
From the data we can fairly assume that there are very less number of research institutions compared to engineering institutions in India with only 50 making up to ranks. These comprise research in general including technology, medical science, nuclear science, etc. Here as well, TN seems to be doing well with 20% of total share, followed by Delhi, Maharashtra and UP.

Law ⚖️
Lawyers often tend to become politician.
There are just 30 law colleges which made up to the rankings, most of them are in Delhi followed by Punjab, Odisha and Uttar Pradesh.

Architecture is the field of artistry, layout and overall design of a buildings and infrastructure. TN leads here as well followed by Delhi and Punjab as top 3 out of 30 rank holders.

It is quite evident that the distribution of quality of higher education weighs only in few parts of the country and not so especially in North eastern states and under developed states. Accessibility to quality education is key to most of the people who strive to climb up in the society we live.
